Basic Information
| Biography: | They call me DiscoKim. I started playing disc golf in February of 2021 after a friend of mine had introduced me to it a few months prior. I threw but I wasn't any good. My putting however was passable so I thought it could be a good foundation to start playing. The first few full rounds were the most fun I've ever had even though I was no good. The fun I had motivated me to try harder and improve. So I bought a bunch of discs and a basket and worked at it doing field work and casual rounds with local clubs. My first tournament was WGE in May and even though I finished last I found a love for tournament play. I registered for every local tournament I could and even travelled to several different states to compete. Altogether within my first 10 months of playing I've done 9 tournaments with marginal improvements every time. I haven't yet won but I'm not worried about winning or losing, just trying my absolute best. Disc golf has been the best thing I've ever been involved with and I can't wait to keep playing more and more. My next goal for myself is to qualify for the NADGT nationals in the FA3 division in the coming 2022 year. | ||||||||||||||||
